Darkness and Light

solsticelight.jpg

Thursday is the Winter Solstice, and Sharon and I hope you will join us on Friday for a by-donation yoga class to benefit the Haven. However we choose to celebrate and honor the return of the light this Solstice, it's worth pausing to honor the darkness that will give way to it. If you don't experience the darkness fully, how can you appreciate the light? If you feel that this past year has held a disproportionate amount of "darkness" you certainly aren't alone. The winter solstice, traditionally a time of deep introspection can also be a time of warmth for communities of all sizes. Darkness brings people together. The Solstice marks the light's rebirth and this special class on Friday raises money for an organization that helps people who really need help and support. By donating and participating you offer your own little light back into a world that could use every shared wonder. We hope you will join us, and Happy Winter Solstice!
