Cathy Vansant

Cathy started practicing Ashtanga yoga with Leslie at Upper Valley Yoga studio in 2003. She graduated from a Hatha Yoga Teacher training course in 2014, taught by Angie Follensbee-Hall, RYT 500, which emphasized meditation, pranayama and asana practice within a knowledge of yogic history and philosophy in addition to Ayurvedic principles of health and well-being. Cathy believes in a yoga that is accessible and adaptable to the individual, and has tried to maintain a practice that she can sustain through the many transitions life offers. Yoga has brought both strength and flexibility into her mind and body, as well as a capacity for acceptance, patience and commitment to the process of mindful living. Her hope is to foster in her students a playful and compassionate curiosity along with a greater sense of connection within and without, cultivating more ease and whole-hearted living.
