Give Thanks
For too many days now you have been straying far and wide, rushing out to meet the needs of the world.
Time now to come home, to sit by the hearth of your own inner calling, and feel into all that you hold inside—
the ache, the sorrow, the ambivalence, the delight.
Arrive today knowing that you are made of an essential goodness.
Put to sleep the doubts, the fears, the hesitancy.
Like breath, let peace expand in you, touching every fiber and filling every pore of your being.
Nourish the one body that you are part of—not only your sons and daughters but, the big sky, the waters, the oaks and maples.
There are so many things to be grateful for. All that can be tasted, touched, seen and heard.
Cherish the small things that come to you this day, your morning bath, lengthening your spine, seeing the face of a loved one.
Today raise a glass, toast to the wonder of the world.
Feast on love, feast on joy.
