Kathy Washburn

I found yoga during my years in the investment industry, when my days were full of pressure and the mat became the one place I could truly breathe. During and after cancer yoga was and remains a through line for healing. After 25 years in financial services, I followed my heart into a new life as a positive psychology coach. I’m delighted to return to the practice that carried me through it all.

Home is Orford, where I can often be found walking the woods with my dog, Bodhi, a gentle teacher of presence. Music moves me and nature is my playground, and both find their way into my classes.

I’m a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) and completed Yoga of the Heart’s Cardiac and Cancer Certification Training. I’m also a Holistic Cancer Coach and Positive Neuroplasticity Training teacher, so my classes weave in simple practices for calming the nervous system and taking in the good. My gentle and restorative classes offer a quiet space to soften, breathe, and rest in the goodness of the moment. Every body is welcome here, with plenty of props, modifications, and kindness along the way.

In the future, I look forward to offering a healing yoga class for those moving through health challenges and life transitions.

I would be honored to share this practice with you, and I look forward to meeting you on the mat.
