Jim Ryan

From the moment I walked out of my very first yoga class ever at TriBeCa’s Kula Yoga Project, I was hooked. It was 2006, and I was ending a brief, but incredibly draining career in the performing arts. I knew there was something special about Kula then, and I’ve exited every class or workshop thereafter with my kumbha overflowing.

My devotion to Kula has been unwavering ever since, and I’ve been fortunate to study under Schulyer Grant, Nikki Vilella, Jillian Turecki, Kevin Courtney, Kevin Bigger, Lindsay Ashmun, and so many other exquisite faculty members over the years.

Like many others, the pandemic brought me out of the City and into Nature. While keeping the tapas of my personal practice stoked, I’ve discovered that being the change I’d like to see within my Upper Valley community holds tremendous value to me. With that, my calling to teach began in 2025 when I completed the 60hr Deeper Kulification course. In spring of 2026 I completed the 200hr Teacher Training held at Yandara Yoga Institute where I am in the process of achieving my RYT 200. Including asana, my classes unite breathwork, self-love, and myofascial release. I love to offer special attention to alignment and modifications as your journey on the mat unfolds.
