Arrive 5-10 minutes early
We try to start and finish every class on time. You can help by arriving five or ten minutes early, which will give you time to unroll your mat, settle in, and take a breath before class begins. It's also a good time to inform your instructor of any pre-existing injury, ask questions of your instructor and meet your fellow students.
Give yourself time to park
There is no dedicated lot for the building. Please don't park in the spaces across the street or at the Tip Top—they are private. Allow yourself a few extra minutes to park and walk a block or two. If you do arrive late, please wait quietly in the office until the opening meditation has finished.
If you have to leave early
let your instructor know before class begins. Please plan to take a brief savasana at the end of your own practice. If you need to leave only a few minutes early, please leave before the class is in savasana--it is an awkward and disruptive time to pack up your gear and go.
Please leave your shoes in the hallway.
Please leave shoes in the hallway, this helps us keep the studio clean. Coats and clothing can be left in cubbies and on hooks in the studio. We have smaller cubbies in the practice space itself for valuables.
Please do not bring cell phones or pagers into class
Your practice is an opportunity to tune into yourself for a short while. Please turn off your cell phone or pager and leave it with your other belongings. If you must have it with you, please turn it to vibrate.
