An all-levels class that incorporates longer-held seated postures, preceded by a brief active sequence for warming up. Yin Yoga is based on the Chinese meridian system (acupuncture-like benefits, no needles!). Yin Yoga is generally offered one Friday evening per month. No need to register; show up for any or all of the classes--drop in or use your card. Too hot. Too humid. Vacation was too short (or too long…). A little agitated? This month's yin is all about taking the edge off by working with poses that physically enhance ease and fluidity in our hips and IT bands, and mentally dialing back feelings of frustration. Even if you are feeling cool as a cucumber, this particular sequence of longer-held, floor-based poses provides a broad range of benefits for body and psyche. All are welcome. |
