Most of our classes (unless otherwise noted) are based on Ashtanga-Vinyasa yoga, a form of Hatha Yoga that combines core strength and flexibility with deep focus and concentration. As with any Hatha yoga practice, the goal is to create balance and harmony between the mind and the body. This flowing form of Hatha Yoga brings the body, mind and spirit toward perfect alignment and function by combining breath control (pranyama), isometrics (bandhas), focused gazing (drishti), and an uninterrupted sequence of postures into a moving meditation (vinyasa). We try to provide both challenge and accessibility in each class. Teaching intensity and style vary among instructors.
