OUR PHILOSOPHY

Our studio’s philosophy is rooted in the firm belief that everyone can do yoga. Our diverse offerings reflect that belief: we meet you where you are while helping you build the tools to grow, and encouraging you to listen to your own body’s wisdom. Most of our intermediate and advanced classes revolve around fun and mindful vinyasa flow that draws on the lineages of Ashtanga, Iyengar, and Anusara Yoga.

Forrest Friday: Core

Many of us walk through life with a “numb” core, which prevents us from tapping into our gut instincts and supporting ourselves by tuning in to our core beliefs and values. Wake up and strengthen your core in this 90-minute all-levels Forrest Yoga practice. Forrest Friday is led by Deb Heimann, Level 2 Forrest Yoga teacher, and is held every 3rd Friday of the month. End your week with a deep Forrest Yoga practice. Expect to leave energized and feeling stronger. Sign up to reserve a spot.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative Yoga is offered the third Sunday of each month and is a wonderful way to create ease and openness in your body, your breath and your soul. This lovely, soothing practice is suitable for all levels, and uses many props to support the body so that the poses themselves are comforting and nourishing, rather than effortful.  Please sign up to reserve a spot; drop in or use your existing pass.

Solstice Flow: by-donation to benefit The Haven

Join Leslie and Sharon in celebrating the Winter Solstice. Traditionally, the solstice is celebrated in yoga with the practice of 108 sun salutations. Our version of this tradition is to practice some factor of 108 salutations, with accessible and varied versions to make it enjoyable for all. Leslie and Sharon will take turns leading you through these salutations, and then we will transition with a restorative pose or two. We will close our practice with a sweet, guided meditation, seated or lying down, to welcome the light of the season into our lives and our hearts, and to share that light with each other on the night following the Winter Solstice. All are welcome! Your donation of any amount will go to the Upper Valley Haven. Sign up to save a spot. Friends and family are also welcome.

NEW Gentle Class, in Thetford, Fridays

Our new gentle class at our Thetford location begins January, 5, and runs Fridays 10–11 am. All are welcome to this class, taught by Jen Avery. When you sign up, we will send you directions if you have never been to the Thetford location before. Because the space is smaller, we do require that participants sign up ahead of time to guarantee a spot.
